You love green atmospheres and therefore indoor plants, but you definitely don’t know how to take care of them. Don’t panic… some varieties actually require little maintenance to thrive and water in reduced quantities. They are known to be truly indestructible! Here are a few !

Plants considered to be indestructible

Some plants require so little maintenance that they are accessible even to those who tend not to know how to take care of them. If you don’t have a green thumb, you can opt for:

The Sansevieria;

The cactus;

The kentias;

The Pilea.

These four plants are able to adapt to all the conditions of our interiors. They only require little water supply.

If you live in an overheated apartment in winter, most of the plants may suffer. However, this is not the case with these four plants which support it perfectly:

The aloe vera ;

The Saintpaulia;

The cactus;

The thorn of Christ.

You have to choose the right plant for certain conditions such as: lack of light, too dry or too hot air, excess watering or, on the contrary, lack of watering, your prolonged absences … These plants are robust and little demanding.

Plants requiring very little watering

There are many plants which are quite capable of surviving even without watering for a fairly long time, several weeks for example. If you forget involuntarily or if you are away for a long time, some of them will not give an unsightly plant, all withered or will not perish.

Indoor yucca;

The Zamioculas;

The ficus;

The kalanchoe;

Misery ;

The Sansevieria;

Chlorophytum.

Plants supporting excess water

If you tend to water a lot, then you have to choose the plant correctly. They are not many. The papyrus is the only one capable of supporting excess water or a soil constantly submerged in water.

Shade loving houseplants

The lack of light is also a barrier to obtaining a lush plant world. If you have more of a dark interior and your plants are placed away from the window, you really have to choose them well. You should still know that you need a minimum of light, which means that in rooms without windows it is better to abstain.

Fastia japonica;

A misery ;

The Spathiphyllum;

The calathea;

The dieffenbachia;

The Harworthia;

Chlorophytum.

All of these plants are able to adapt to reduced light.

Plants perfectly tolerating full sun

Plants generally love light, but very few tolerate direct sunlight. Sometimes, you have no choice because of the presence of large bay windows or a southern exposure, in this case, you must choose your plants carefully.

The Baucarnea;

The Schefflera;

La Sansevieria,

Cacti in general (inquire anyway);

Succulents.

Green plants without soil and without pots

You never know when and how to collect your plants? Don’t feel like bothering with what you consider to be a chore? In this case, it is necessary to bet on plants without pots and without soil:

La Tillandsia;

The Guzmania;

A bromeliad like the epiphytic bromeliad, these can live: attached to a piece of cork, a rock or placed on pebbles.

Orchids are also among the plants that do not need to be repotted, they can indeed stay in the same pot for a very long time.

Among the ephemeral species, you can cultivate the hyacinth onions simply in water.
